The Bristol and District Rifle and Pistol Club (BDRPC) is a well established Shooting Club based to the South of Bristol that can boast a membership in excess of 100 and traces it's origins back nearly 50 years (see Club History). The Club is affiliated to the National Rifle Association of Great Britain (NRA) and the London and Middlesex Rifles Club at Bisley. Every month a three month calendar of forthcoming events is enclosed with each member's newsletter.

The Failand Ranges are home to BDRPC and comprise two separate ranges named after significant founder members of the club. The 20 metre "Watkins" Range has eight covered firing points and the 50 metre "Hamilton" Range has nineteen covered firing points. The Hamilton is fitted with turning target mechanisms at 25 and 50 metres and has Bianchi style moving target gear. The Hamilton Range has wheelchair access and there is a small Club Room with tea and coffee making facilities. There are ladies and gents toilet facilities on site.

The ranges are ideal for gallery rifle disciplines and are certificated for use with fixed ammunition calibres up to .455" and for muzzle loading calibres up to .5". The club has Marlin under lever and Ruger self loading rifles for use by the members and all new club members are trained in their use (see Membership). The club also has access to full bore rifle shooting opportunities at military ranges throughout the West Country and at Bisley.

The Failand Ranges are open to full members for shooting most days of the years between 10 a.m. and dusk. There is also a thriving Junior Air Gun section (JAGS) which meets one evening each week.

The club hosts the annual classified "Western Winner" 1500 Match each year in October and there is a full calendar of club competitions throughout the year that cover a wide range of shooting disciplines.
